82nd Airborne Division Jumps Into Charleston, W.Va. To Begin Annual Convention

Fort Bragg, NC (HNN) - The 82nd Airborne Division Association will host its
64th annual convention Aug. 18-21 in Charleston, W.Va.
Paratroopers, past and present, will converge on the Charleston
Marriott Town Center Hotel to meet long time friends, trade stories and
share their experiences with each other.
More than 100 Paratroopers from the All American Division will
jump into Clute Drop Zone, just off Highway 35 outside of Henderson to
officially begin the convention on Aug. 19.
There will also be a Memorial Dinner Aug. 20 and a National
Airborne Heritage Banquet dinner Aug. 21. At the dinner on Aug. 21, Maj.
Gen. Jim Huggins, the division's commanding general, will address the
All American Association by providing a "State of the Division" update.
During the past year, the entire 82nd Airborne Division deployed
to Operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Haiti.
