Marshall Hosts Appalachian State Monday In CIT Quarterfinals
Thundering Herd Plays Second Straight Southern Conference Rival

Huntington, WV (HNN) - The CollegeInsider.com Tournament has determined the pairings for Monday night’s CIT Quarterfinals. Marshall (24-9), the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, will host former Southern Conference rival Appalachian State (23-10) with tipoff set for 7 p.m. Other quarterfinal pairings will see Fairfield (23-10) travel to Creighton (17-15). Northern Colorado (25-7) will host Pacific (21-11). Missouri State (21-12) will face either Southern Miss (20-13) or Louisiana Tech (23-10). The winner of the Southern Miss-Louisiana Tech will determine the site of their quarterfinal matchup. If Southern Miss wins, Missouri State will travel to Southern Miss. If Louisiana Tech wins, Missouri State will be at home.
 
This will be the 40th meeting between Marshall and Appalachian State with the Thundering Herd holding a 32-17 series advantage. The teams are meeting for the first time since the 2005-06 season when the teams split a pair of games. The Mountaineers defeated MU 73-65 in Huntington. The Herd returned favor, 64-60, at Appalachian State.
 
Fans can purchase tickets online at www.HerdZone.com or by calling 1-800-THE-HERD. Tickets can also be purchased in person by visiting the Cam Henderson Center Ticket Office prior to tip-off Monday. The Marshall Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 for lower reserved seats, $11 for upper reserved, $10 for general admission and Marshall Students can secure tickets for only $4 with a valid student ID.
 
Fans attending Monday’s 7 p.m. CollegeInsider.com Tournament game with Appalachian State can park for free in the Third Avenue Parking Garage and at the Joan C. Edwards Stadium West Lots that are adjacent to the Cam Henderson Center. All parking is on a first come, first serve basis.
 
FOX College Sports Network will broadcast the CIT Championship Game on March 30. All other tournament games will be available via online broadcast only on www.FoxCollegeSports.com.
 
Due to CIT contractual obligations, Herd All-Access video and audio will not be available for CIT games. The video feed, along with the audio of the official Thundering Herd/ISP Sports broadcast, will be available on a pay-per-view online basis at www.FoxCollegeSports.com.
