ALL-C-USA BASKETBALL TEAMS: Crook Named to Team for 2nd Consecutive Year

Irving, TX (HNN) -- Marshall University junior Tynikki Crook has been named to All-Conference USA Third Team as announced by the conference office on Saturday, March 6.
 
This marks the second-consecutive berth to the team for Crook, who was named to the third team in 2009. Crook has also been named to the All-Tournament team as both a freshman and a sophomore.
 
Despite missing seven games this season due to injury, Crook led the Herd in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots. She averaged 13.2 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and has blocked 39 shots on the season. All three totals also rank in the top ten in Conference USA. Her 39 blocked shots rank second in the league, behind only Larrissa Williams of Tulsa.
 
Crook saved her best outing of the season for last, scoring a season-high 21 points in Wednesday's regular season finale against East Carolina. She connected on 8-of-14 shots while grabbing seven boards. Marshall, who enters Monday's C-USA Championship as the No. 9 seed is set to take on eighth-seeded UCF at 1 p.m. at the Reynolds Center.
