RECALLS: Strollers Pose Abrasion Hazard

By HNN Staff, with information supplied by www.recalls.org

Regal Lager Inc. is recalling Phil & Teds e3 Strollers with doubles seats sold nationwide from July 2005 to November 2006. Children can touch the rear tires when in the stroller’s add-on seat. This can pose an abrasion hazard.

This recall involves the e3 Buggy, which is a three-wheeled stroller with a black steel tubing frame. An additional seat, known as a “Doubles Kit,” can be added directly behind the main stroller’s seat allowing a second child to ride in the stroller.

Consumers should contact Regal Lager at (800) 593-5522 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, for free additional rear wheel guards. Consumers can also visit http://www.regallager.com/recalls/default.aspx. More info at www.recalls.org.

TRIM KITS FOR LIGHT FIXTURES CAN MELT

Progress Lighting Inc., is recalling Trim Assembly Kits for Recessed Light Fixtures sold nationwide from July 2006 to December 2006. Heat from the light bulb can cause the fixture’s plastic trim to soften and melt, causing the trim and lens to fall. This can result in laceration injuries.

Trim assembly kits involved in this recall attach to recessed light fixtures installed primarily in bathroom ceilings. The trim assemblies include a 7 3/4-inch white plastic ring, a glass lens and a metal reflector. Affected models were made in China and have model numbers: 8009-60, 8010-60 or 8011-60.

Consumers should contact Progress Lighting at (877) 369-4548 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday to arrange for installation of a replacement trim ring. Consumers can also visit http://www.progresslighting.com/recall.htm. More info at www.recalls.org.
