Weekend First at HNN: Weekly Movie Comings and Goings

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- New Mainstreamers … Call it perfect or imperfect timing, but Snakes on a Plane just could be an escapist delight if it keeps the drama more like farce than reality that reminds us about all those problems with carry on, shoes (would the F.T.A. or Homeland Security be liable for a foot infections picked up by passenger(s) or should they be required to provide booties? Just asking, it’s not in the movie!) Samuel L. Jackson plays an FBI agent escorting a mob informant. The dude turns loose a crate of deadly snakes and now Jackson must work with a rookie pilot , terrified crew, and equally troubled passengers to bring get the dude to trial and the plane safely landed at the airport.
Accepted: When Justin Long gets turned down by every college to which he
applies, he manufactures his own school of higher learning at a rundown
piece of property. Now, he has to deal with all the other kids who have not
been accepted by a college who turn up at the doors of the South Harmon
Institute of Technology.
Material Girls: Two heiresses (Hilary Duff, Haylie Duff) are supposed to inherit a cosmetics empire, but a scandal sends the corporation down the tubes. Now, they must learn not only how to be broke but to survive an investigation into the company’s demise.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Although squirt guns, rice, lighters, and other projectiles are forbidden, you can brush up on your Time Warp dance and check out those character costumes. The long running and cult favorite continues a multiple weekend run at the Cinema. Auditions for membership in the ‘shadow cast’ are on going.
You’re welcome to act out the lines and have fun. A ‘shadow cast’ will be coming soon as well as a group of people to welcome first timers to the showing.
