LETTER TO EDITOR: Hinton Resident Praises Sound, New Management at Ritz
Theatre
I took my six-year-old grandson to see “Cars.” I am 70 years old. I had been
to the Ritz Theatre in Hinton before and the experience was anything but
pleasant. The sound was terrible and the theatre dirty, popcorn stale. So
since this was his first movie experience, I tossed in my mind whether to
take him to see “Cars” in Beckley.
I am so pleased I did not. The new management at The Ritz is to be
congratulated and praised for all they’ve done. The sound was perfect and
the theatre clean and the entire experience was delightful.
I will certainly be back: I’ve sung the praises of The New Ritz here in
Hinton House where I live.
It is great to have a real movie theatre in Hinton as there is so little for
the folks to do The movies are first-run, up to date and now, with such good
sound, it will be all the more enjoyable.
So thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep it up and don’t give up. God bless
you!
