Austin, TX (HNN) – The National Association of Real Estate Editors' (NAREE's) 44th Annual Real Estate Journalism Conference will bring the nation’s top journalists and authors to Austin, Texas for a conference focusing on real estate economics and finance and green building issues.

Staff writers, editors and freelancers from newspapers, magazines and online media will participate in NAREE’s “Ultimate News Conference – Beyond Austin City Limits,” which will be held June 2-5, 2010, at the Austin Hilton. NAREE conferees also will include authors of real estate books, broadcast journalists and syndicated columnists.

“Scores of the nation’s top journalists will be coming to Austin to cover these newsworthy events,” says NAREE 2010 President Lauren Beale of the Los Angeles Times. “Austin, with its reputation for being a leader in sustainability, is one of those emerging cities writers are eager to explore.”

Professional development programs available to freelance journalists and staffers will include sessions on blogging, videocasting and online innovations.

More than 100 of the nation’s best real estate writers are expected — including winners of NAREE's 60th annual Journalism Awards Competition and the Bruss Real Estate Book Awards Competition. Those prestigious awards will be presented at NAREE’s banquet in Austin.

NAREE's ever popular Meet The Press will offer freelancers, columnists, and publicists face-to-face mini-meetings with editors and real estate journalists for queries and pitches. Attendees are guaranteed to pick up story ideas and gather news sources that can be called for quotes and information in the future.

Speakers and newsmakers at the NAREE conference will include economists, executives from the nation’s leading real estate companies both commercial and residential and authorities in the green movement. Veteran Texas journalist, Ralph Bivins of RealtyNewsReport.com, is chairman of the conference.

Conference Registration and information is available at www.NAREE.org. Contact NAREE’s executive director for information regarding advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
