Hinton, WV (HNN) -- A house purchased by the city of Hinton in 2000 has been sold to Jeff Lyon of Pipestem for $20,000. The house on 6th Avenue between Temple and Ballengee streets was used as a rental for several Hinton police officers and was known as the "Police House." It was a foreclosure, purchased by the city of Hinton for $1 from HUD.
